Joe Bryan and Jamie Posnanski are the co-founders of Sans Locus, a downtown Charleston business offering marketing services, web development and custom web applications.  While the business was established in January of 2002, the team has been working together for the past 7 years.  Sans Locus is a unique firm; offering a greater range of services than the typical web design operation.  While the Sans Locus staff has produced almost 100 web sites for a wide variety of clients, much of the business is devoted to helping clients measure and achieve greater returns from their investments in web-based marketing.  Mr. Bryan and Mr. Posnanski have developed a core client base in the Charleston area; some of which pre-date the existence of Sans Locus.  The company also provides web development services in partnership with traditional advertising agencies in Columbia, Atlanta and Savannah.

The work history of the Sans Locus team constitutes an advantage that many up-and-coming firms do not enjoy.  The team explains that more than 20 years of combined experience has allowed them to “work through the learning curve.”  Mr. Bryan and Mr. Posnanski have gained experience and expertise partly from working on large projects for corporations with significant budgets.  The Sans Locus team is now able to provide smaller businesses with the same quality of work, but scaled down to a scope that is more appropriate to the size of the individual business.  The LDC was able to offer assistance in the form of an SBA Microloan in 2002
